Gavin’s career as a forward took him to Forfar, Meadowbank, Brechin, St Johnstone, Stirling Albion and Den Haag in Holland. He managed juniors Kinnoull and Jeanfield Swifts before becoming Weir’s no 2 in November 2014. Gavin has now taken on the role as First Team Manager and had his first victory in his first game in charge – defeating EduSport Academy 3-1 in the Second Round of the Scottish Cup

Matthew played for Macduff Lions BC and Deveronvale before joining Aberdeen.  He moved to Inverness CT in 2012, making the first of three Premier League appearances in December 2012, and switched to City in May 2014. Matthew represented Scotland at U18 level. After 3 years and 119 games – Cooper scored his first goal!!

Lewis joined Morton’s youth academy since in 2012 before earning his personal contract in 2015 after signing an 18th month deal shortly after his 16th Birthday.
Lewis joined City on loan in August. He had a fantastic first game and was selected in the SPFL team of the week and netted his first goal for the club in only his 2nd game putting Elgin up 1-0 against Edinburgh City.

A product of Elgin’s youth scheme, ‘Soapy’ made his Elgin debut against Stenhousemuir in April 2008, aged 16. His father played for the club in their Highland League days. Following an injury-ravaged 2013/14 season, he is returning to the form that attracted interest from a number of Premier Division clubs. “Soapy” proved himself to be one of the best midfielders in the league and was selected in the SPFL’s team of the year for Season 2016-17.

Thomas joined in September 2015 after being released from St Mirren. The 21-year-old came through the youth ranks with St Mirren making around 40 appearances for the club. Thomas was nominated for PFA Ladbrokes League 2 Player of the Year for Season 2016-17.

Shane returned to City after a spell at Peterhead FC. Shane was last Seasons top goal scorer netting 24 goals before the season was brought harshly to a close after rupturing his ACL. Shane also picked up the PFA Player of the Year Award, Ladbrokes League 2 Player of the Year, Clean sweep of Elgin Awards and also made his way into SPFL Team of The Year. He is currently under physio after his reconstruction surgery and is hoping to be back training soon.

Christopher McLeish

Chris signed at the start of last season from Junior side Jeanfield Swift. He bagged himself 11 goals for the City and is back in Weir’s squad for 2017-18.

Jamie Reid

DOB: 11/01/1994

After a brief loan spell at City in 2015, Jamie went to Arbroath before returning to Elgin at the start of the 2016-17. Reid returns for season 2017-18

Scott Smith

DOB: 21/07/1995

Scott joined City at the start of season 2016-17 from Forfar Athletic. After an injury plagued start to the season Smith is back fit and ready.

Ali Sutherland

DOB: 19/9/1996

Ali joined the Club during the January transfer window and made the deal permanent in the Summer.

Calum Ferguson

After working his way though the ICT set up, Calum joined from Albion Rovers in the Summer.

Bruce Anderson

DOB: 23/9/1998

A prodigy of Aberdeen F.C U20’s he was named Player of the Year last season.  Bruce joined Weir’s squad at the end of August netting himself 3 goals in 2 games for the Club.
